Crossing the land of 1001 nights, your caravan arrives at the legendary sultanate of Naqala. The old sultan has just died and Naqala's control is to be seized! The oracles predicted aliens who would maneuver the five tribes to gain influence over the legendary city-state. Do you want to fulfill the prophecy? Summon the old Djinns and put the tribes in position at the right time, and the Sultanate can become yours!

Five Tribes is based on a long tradition of German-style games featuring wooden meeples. Here, in a unique twist on the now standard "worker placement" genre, the game begins with the pawns already in place - and players must maneuver them intelligently on the villages, markets, oases and sacred places that make up Naqala. How, when and where you place these five tribes of Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants and Vizirs determine your victory or failure.

The rules are simple and easy to learn. But developing a winning strategy will require a more calculated approach than usual. You need to carefully consider what moves can help you get good results and disadvantage your opponents. You must weigh many different paths to victory, including summoning powerful Djinns who can help your cause as you try to control this legendary sultanate.
