BOOoop

Two-player strategy board game: BOOoop, as clever as it is cute

BOOoop is an abstract two-player strategy board game that looks adorable but is surprisingly tricky. On each turn you place a kitten on the "bed" of the game board. That simple action triggers a "boop": all adjacent kittens are pushed one space. By lining up three kittens you evolve them into cats, and by lining up three cats you win the game. Beneath its accessible board-game appearance, BOOoop hides real tactical depth for fans of two-player strategy games.

"Boop" mechanic and tactical duels on the game board

The core mechanic is elegantly clear: each kitten placement affects the whole board, forcing you to anticipate chain reactions. You and your opponent are constantly "booping" your felines, which turns every position into a strategic puzzle. It's a bit like trying to catch and direct cats, with the mix of anticipation, opportunism and subtle blocking that strategy board-game players love.

Ghost Cats: new interactions and unique movements

This edition introduces the fearsome Ghost Cats, able to float between spaces. Their presence scares other felines away, who can jump over them to escape. Even more powerful, these ghosts can "boop" past pieces by moving between the gaps, adding new angles of attack and dramatic reversals worthy of the best tactical board games.

Premium components and box contents

The game includes a quilted fabric game board that attaches to the back of the box to form a miniature bed-shaped play surface, both practical and immersive. The 34 wooden pieces (kittens, cats and ghosts) are as charming as they are easy to read on the board, perfect for smooth games with family or friends.

• 1 quilted fabric game board (duvet format)
• 32 wooden pieces representing kittens and cats
• 2 Ghost Cats
