Solar Auxilia Ogryn Charonite Squad

Role Playing Game Figures: Charonite Ogryn Squads

The Charonite squads of the Solar Auxilia represent the pinnacle of role-playing game figures. Based on the imposing frame of an Ogryn, these Warhammer 40,000 figures have undergone biochemical and cybernetic alterations through ancient technologies, possibly of xenos origin, deemed heretical by the Mechanicum. The result is a creature that obeys orders blindly but can, at the push of a button, transform into a savage and nearly unstoppable brute.

Warhammer 40,000: Power and Brutality of the Charonite Ogryn

The hands and forearms of the Ogryns are replaced by a set of formidable mechanisms called Charonite claws. These devices amplify their already terrifying strength, allowing the Charonite squads to pierce armor plates with disconcerting ease, annihilating their enemies in close combat during boarding actions. In response to the intensifying wars of the Horus Heresy, the Loyalist commanders of the Solar Auxilia increasingly turned to the creation of Charonites, particularly against the renegade Legiones Astartes and the forces of the Dark Mechanicum.
