Pandemic, the high-intensity board game

In Pandemic, keep calm! You play as a member of a team of researchers who fight the spread of several virulent diseases. You will have to overcome these plagues by delaying their spread while seeking cures for each of the four viruses before they degenerate.

The game board represents the map of the world with several cities on which players can track the progress of diseases. At each turn, a player can use up to four actions: travel between cities, treat infected populations, discover a cure or build a research station. But beware, diseases are unstable and the fate of populations can quickly change. At the end of each round, diseases progress and can trigger targeted outbreaks. Epidemic cards are also hidden in the pickaxe and can accelerate virus activity.

Pandemic, a strategic and cooperative game

Playing a unique role within the team, players must plan their strategy based on the strengths of their characters to defeat diseases.

For example, the operations expert can build research stations that are needed to find cures for diseases and that allow for greater mobility between cities. The scientist, on the other hand, needs only four maps of a particular disease to cure it instead of the five in normal times.

Diseases spread rapidly and time is running out. If one or more diseases spread beyond healing or if too much time elapses, players have lost. On the contrary, if they manage to find the cures for the four diseases, the game is collegially won!
