Skull Silver, a quirky bluff game
This colorfully-colored bluff game is the restylized version of Skull and Roses. Its author, Hervé Marly, changes the theme by replacing the imagery of biker gangs with that of the peoples. The illustrations of this new cutting are particularly neat. The principle of the game remains the same. Players must win two challenges to hope to win the game. For this, bluff, bid, and above all do not fall on the head of death!
Skull Silver, a well-honed mechanical game
Each participant has a mat (with a colorful face and a shiny face), 3 flower discs and 1 Skull disc.
At the beginning of the game, players place the visible colored face mat in front of them and place one of their 4 discs face down. The bluff can then begin! The first player has two possible actions: either he lays a second disc or he challenges.
If he puts up a second card, the other players must do the same until a player challenges his comrades by announcing the number of flowers on the table.
The challenge launched, the other players can then outbid or pass their turn. The last one to bid becomes the challenger. He must then return the discs one by one, starting with his own.
If a skull appears, his challenge is lost. He then loses one of his cards, drawn at random in his hand by the opponent whose Skull he has returned. When a player no longer has a card, he leaves the game.
If he returns the number of flowers announced in his bet, he wins his challenge. He then returns his stack, a sign that he has only one challenge left to win to win the game.
The game continues until a player wins two challenges.
