Trails of Tucana

Welcome to Tucana!

Tucana is a group of islands populated by creatures and dotted with cultural sites. In order to facilitate the movement of villagers between the various interesting places of the archipelago, you are responsible for planning a network of trails.

The fighter's journey

Let's go for your trail through the Tucana Forest. During a game, you will need to:

• climbing mountains
• crossing rivers
• you make your way through the jungle
• explore unexplored plains

A journey yet to be defined

Each player receives a map of the island of Tucana, showing its villages and important sites. Village positions are different for each player.

In each round, a player returns two field cards. Each player must draw a path on his own map between two spaces adjacent to the indicated terrain. Gradually, the tracks will become a network of roads. Players score points by connecting the corresponding ports. Being the first to connect two ports entitles you to bonus points.

To make the game more difficult...

In Trails of Tucana, different field maps are distributed in varying ways. Thus, Mountain maps are for example rarer than Desert maps. It will therefore be more difficult to build a trail through a mountain range or on the water than in the desert or forest. Players will have to take this into account when planning their routes.

End of the game

The game ends at the end of the second round. Points are then counted and the player with the most is named the best planner.
