Take part in the abolition of slavery!

From the very beginning of the United States of America, slavery and everything it embodied was a point of contention. Thanks to the efforts of men and women across all states, it has been abolished. It is this part of the story that Freedom - The Clandestine Railway offers you to replay. In this game, players will play as abolitionists. They will have to try to end slavery by, for example, using their influence at key events, raising funds for their cause, or organizing the flight of slaves to Canadian provinces.

Freedom: A historical and cooperative game

Freedom - The Clandestine Railway is therefore a cooperative game, evolving between the early 19th century and the Civil War. During the game, players must work together to obtain two winning conditions. First, players need to strengthen the abolitionist movement by acquiring support tokens. Then, players must also help slaves escape from the southern plantations, moving them north to freedom in Canada, while avoiding slave traders who wander on the game board. If the players manage to meet these two conditions before the end of the game, they win. Of course, it won't be easy, but with careful planning and strategy, the group can make history again, helping to sink the system of slavery.
