Sanctum: Face the Dark Lord and his demons!

Legend has it that there was a sinister time when the Dark Lord Malghazar had appeared on our world. He had let his ruthless infernal servants pour in, devastating all that mankind had built up to that time.

In the rubble and ruins, heroes revealed themselves to their fate. They took up arms and fought against the demonic hordes. The battle against Malghazar was epic, but thanks to their courage they managed to defeat the Dark Lord. His soul was sealed in a jade sarcophagus, buried on the rock. It was at the top of this tomb that the new leaders decided to build a new city, a symbol of this glorious victory. This city, they said, would forever become a haven of peace. They named it Sanctum

The centuries passed. The stories became legends and the jade sarcophagus was forgotten. From sovereign to sovereign, the throne of Sanctum eventually fell to a king as weak as treacherous. Although his land was prosperous, the king had the vision of an even greater power—a power that lay right there, under his own city. Immediately he gave the order to conduct frantic excavations. The buildings were systematically demolished and the streets devastated to satisfy the hallucination of an illuminated. But to the general amazement, his vision proved to be accurate! The king finally found the power that called him with all his might! Drunk with lust, he broke the seal with his own hands.

The jade sarcophagus was open again, the Lord of Darkness was free. Who was going to be able to come to Sanctum's rescue? The Demon King has taken possession of the city of Sanctum and is about to launch his troops into the world. Players play as heroes who must fight their way to Sanctum to face the terrible Demon.

Players play as heroes who seek to fight their way through evil hordes, so they can defeat the Dark Lord standing at their head. Although heroes struggle for a common goal, they each have their own motivations and seek to prove their worth individually. The players each play their turn. In turn, the heroes can roam the moor, fight the demons that pursue them, or rest from the battles they have fought. When they travel, they attract the attention of demons and must confront them. At the end of these battles, if they manage to defeat them, they gain levels as well as valuable magical objects. By resting, they have the opportunity to equip themselves with these objects and to recover the stamina and concentration needed for the rest of their journey.

The game takes place in several successive acts, during which the demons become stronger, but also make you gain more levels and better objects. When players reach Act V, they struggle to create a breach in the Sanctum Walls. The first who succeeds then opens a path that all must follow- that confronting them with the Lord of Darkness. Their value in this final clash will determine the hero who wins the game.
