In Welcome, players play as architects in the United States in the 1950s. The country, which emerged as the big winner in World War II, is in the midst of a demographic boom. The United States is going through a period of unprecedented turmoil and is facing great demand for construction.
Welcome, a game of architects
The country is growing at great speed V and projects are pouring in from all over. Yes, watch out! You're not the only architect eyeing these juicy contracts. The competition is fierce! You will have to play elbows to impose yourself against your opponents and thus be recognized as the most gifted architect of his generation.
It is up to you to respect the plans envisaged by the city. Each player has three streets entrusted to him to create the most beautiful housing estates, with luxurious parks and dream pools.
Welcome, a simple and efficient mechanical game
In this game, all players play simultaneously with the same draw of cards. The goal for each architect is then to cleverly combine the house numbers that have appeared and the actions associated with them in order to become the best architect of the city.
At each turn, a card is flipped for each of the three stacks and placed face up. Players will then have to choose the combination of cards they deem most favorable and apply the effects on their sheet.
Welcome, three ways to end the game
The game continues until the players encounter one of these three situations which then rings the end of the game:
- If an architect is denied a building permit by the city three times
- If an architect manages to meet the objectives of 3 plans
- If an architect succeeds in building all the houses on his three streets
