Barony - Royal Edition

Barony - Royal Edition: strategy board game and territorial conquest

Barony - Edition Royale is a board-based strategy board game where you expand your domain, secure resources and weaken your rivals to climb the ranks of nobility. Through simple yet profound tactical choices, you optimize each turn to control the game board and aim for ultimate victory. Ideal for both adult and family board game enthusiasts, this title combines planning, interaction and territory development.

Key actions and rules of this board strategy game

On your turn, perform one of the following six actions to expand your influence and reduce that of your opponents:

• Recruitment: Add two knights to one of your cities, or three if that city is adjacent to a lake.
• Movement: Move one or two of your knights one square each. If you place a second knight on a square containing an enemy pawn or village, remove these tokens and steal a resource from the village owner.
• Construction: Remove one or more of your knights from the board to build a village or stronghold in their place, then earn a resource.
• New town: Upgrade one of your villages into a town and immediately score 10 victory points (VPs).
• Expedition: Remove two knights from your reserve; return one permanently out of play to the box, and place the other on an empty square at the edge of the board.
• Noble title: Defeat at least 15 resource points to raise your rank: baron, viscount, count, marquis, then duke.

As soon as a player achieves the title of Duke, the current turn is ended, and the following points are counted: VPs from remaining resources, rank achieved and number of cities built. The player with the most points wins.
