Archipelago

Archipelago traces the majestic era of the discovery of the archipelagos across the globe from 1492 (discovery of the West Indies by Christopher Columbus) until 1797 (colonization of Tahiti).

Each player plays an explorer and his team, mandated by a European nation to discover, colonize and exploit the archipelagos. These missions are supposed to be carried out diplomatically, responding both to the needs of the local population and to the regular demands of the continent. It will therefore be necessary to respect the archipelago and its natives at the risk of seeing the natives revolt to end up in a war of independence. The boundaries between expansionism and humanism, economics and respect for local values, transmission of knowledge and excessive industrialization are not always easy to find.
The balance of the archipelago will therefore depend very much on the will that each will make these islands happy and productive colonies, or on the contrary, to exploit outrageously resources and natives to end up in chaos and revolt.
To complicate matters, there may be a separatist or a pacifist among you. Both will try to tip the balance towards revolt or peace, respectively.

Are you ready to take on your role and explore Archipelago?

Archipelago is the first semi-cooperative game, exploration, management, optimization, negotiation, diplomacy ... and low blows, for 2 to 5 players, adjustable duration, and in which no game will ever look the same.
You will compete with other great explorers who each have their own goals and priorities. But you will have to work together to preserve the balance of the archipelago by avoiding at all costs the revolt and its independence ... or not.
