Chouineurs - A tactical and interactive trick-taking game for board game enthusiasts

With Chouineurs, discover a nerve-wracking card game that skillfully blends strategy and atmosphere. Ideal for evenings with friends or family, this trick-taking game renews classic board games through clever choices and an original mechanic. Between bets, twists, and calculated moves, Chouineurs will appeal to players seeking an accessible, dynamic, and mischievous board game. A must-have to add to your game collection if you enjoy party games with a real dose of thinking, offered by your favorite board game store and board game shop.

How to play Chouineurs: follow, cut, discard… and above all, chouiner!

At the start of each round, choose the orientation of your hand. This choice shapes your bid: announce the number of tricks you think you will win. In each trick, the demanded color must be followed if possible. If you cannot, you can cut or discard (discard a different color). A tasty feature: you can also super-cut, even if you hold the demanded color, to flip the round at the right moment.

Key moment of the game, chouiner means playing the lowest-valued card of the trick. When you chouiner, you choose between immediately scoring a point or flipping over a card from your hand to adapt it to your strategy. This freedom creates constant tension: should you secure your bid or optimize your hand for the following tricks? After seven tricks, the round ends. You score points if you succeed in your bid, and bonus points if you chouined during the round. After four rounds, the player with the best total score wins.

A strategic party game for families and seasoned players

Chouineurs finds its place among board games that combine pace and control. Perfect for family board game nights or evenings with friends, it will appeal to fans of strategy-based board games and modern cards. Its betting mechanic, its cut options, and the possibility to "chouiner" make it a title as teasing as it is tactical. If you are looking for original experiences among the most-loved board games, Chouineurs has everything to join your favorites at your board game store or your board game boutique.
