Gamle Erik, known as the Devil in Denmark in centuries gone by, is chasing badger Vogter, the embodiment of the forest soul. Help Vogter gather enough allies to defeat all the evil henchmen Gamle Erik has brought on this hunt. But watch out! All of Vogter's potential allies have (as Danish fairy tales often describe) a dark connection to the Devil, and recruiting an ally can have disastrous consequences...

To win, you must help Vogter defeat all Gamle Erik's henchmen. To do this, you'll need to collect Ally cards, and place them on Tree cards; once enough Allies are in the Forest, you can defeat a Henchman and remove his card from play.

Instead of playing an Ally card from your hand into the Forest, you can also discard it to benefit from its special power.

You recruit Allies from a three-card display called the Future. This Future can be corrupted by Adversary cards, which force you to bring Gamle Erik closer to Vogter.

Each Skoventyr turn, you can either play an ally (to increase your group's strength to defeat a Servant), discard an ally (to benefit from its special power), or add an ally to your hand. As this last action is "paid for" by weakening your position on the board, it's crucial to know when and how to pay for your allies!

You must defeat all Erik's servants before he catches Vogter.
