Feed your species and make them evolve!

Our planet is populated by more than a million different animal species. The theory of evolution attempts to explain the causes of such incredible biodiversity.

Charles Darwin based his theory of evolution on the principle of natural selection. He explains that the animals most suitable to survive in a given environment are those that will be most able to pass on their genes. Over thousands of generations, this simple fact has led to the variety of species we observe today on our beautiful planet.

In Evolution, players evolve their species by giving them genetic traits that will allow them to survive in an ever-changing ecosystem. Food is scarce and carnivores are lurking. Your choices will determine the fate of the world's species: some will survive, some will prosper, while others will disappear from the face of the globe.

Survive or perish!

In Evolution, you seek maximum points by feeding your species, increasing their population, and evolving them to ensure their survival. At the end of the game, players score points for:

• food consumed by their species during the game
• population of their surviving species
• Trait cards of their surviving species

Part of Evolution takes place in a number of turns that varies depending on the depletion of the Trait card deck.
