Sankoré

Build the prestigious school of Timbuktu in the 14th century.

Charged by Emperor Mansa Musa with spreading knowledge in West Africa, players must each manage a prestigious school within the madrasa of Sankoré, while the great university rises around them.

By enrolling and graduating your students, teaching classes, completing your curriculum and filling the great library with books, you'll advance knowledge in four main disciplines: theology, law, mathematics and astronomy. Once the construction of the university is complete, the value the empire places on each discipline will greatly influence the evaluation of the knowledge you've imparted.

In a dedicated single-player mode, you'll take on a distinguished scholar, a passionate and ambitious academic controlled by an elegant automated system. He may not be as agile as you, but he's focused and motivated, and will strive to train the best students he can.

Will you be able to make your way through the corridors of academic competition and bring fame to Mansa Musa's precious university?
