In this strategic board game, your mission is to recruit heroes, rescue dragons from poachers, expand their reserves and train your own draconic companion. Each round, you send groups of mercenaries to different locations on the game board to collect rewards. The size of your group is crucial: the larger the squad, the earlier you choose from limited rewards, and the more you prevent your opponents from outbidding you with a larger group. This careful management of priorities and timing makes it one of the most tense and tactical strategy board games.

On your turn, choose either to take a Help token (a unique bonus for the turn), or to send a group of mercenaries to one of the island's locations. The mercenaries come in several roles: soldiers, versatile but single-use; scouts, rangers and guardians, permanent but restricted to specific locations. Your dragon companion can also accompany a group and grant various bonuses depending on the training you've given it, adding an extra layer of strategic planning.

The rewards you obtain allow you to recruit heroes with unique abilities, to free dragons from the clutches of poachers and place them safely in matching reserves, and to mount counterattacks against them. Be careful of the dragon's flame: during the heat of battle and when the poachers raid at the end of the turn, exposing yourself too much to fire will advance you on the flame track, with harmful consequences at the end of the game. Managing your risks, optimizing your placements and timing your offensives are essential to stand out among the best strategy board games.

After five rounds, glory is scored based on your rescued dragons, recruited heroes, your companion's training and your mastery of the flame. The champion with the most glory wins the game and inherits the prestigious title of Dragon Ambassador. A must for board game enthusiasts, to be enjoyed with friends or family.
