Mastodon Super-Heavy Assault Transport

Legion Mastodon: The Ultimate Warhammer 40k Assault Transport

The Legion Mastodon stands as a formidable addition to any Warhammer 40 000 collection, especially for enthusiasts of space marine figurines and wargame scenarios. This super-heavy assault transport is a crucial asset for the Legiones Astartes, designed to breach even the most fortified enemy positions. Capable of transporting over forty Space Marines or four Dreadnoughts, the Mastodon is equipped with a devastating siege melta array to melt through stone and steel, allowing Legionaries to strike at the core of enemy defenses.

Detailed Features of the Legion Mastodon Kit

This intricate multipart kit combines resin and plastic components to construct one Legion Mastodon, showcasing an impressive array of weaponry. The vehicle is significantly larger than a Land Raider, featuring detailed internal transport bays visible through its accessible front and rear doors. The armoured prow is equipped with a siege melta array, complemented by a turret-mounted skyreaper battery for anti-aircraft capabilities. Additionally, the kit includes optional Space Marine crew figures, which can be positioned as spotters in the hatches.

The Mastodon's hull, crew, siege melta array, and skyreaper battery are crafted from resin, while the sponson mounts come with a selection of plastic weaponry including heavy bolters, lascannons, heavy flamers, and volkite culverins. Notably, the transport doors, skyreaper battery, siege melta array, and sponsons are designed to be assembled without glue, offering flexibility in positioning during battles. This comprehensive kit comprises 108 resin components and 88 plastic components, providing a robust challenge for hobbyists who enjoy painting and assembling Warhammer miniatures.
