Rules and mechanics - two-player board games combining strategy and atmosphere

Each player receives 2 pink tokens placed face-down in front of them, as well as their 2 score cards to keep handy for the scoring phase. One player is designated the dealer: they lead the first trick… and lead the dance!

On each trick, each player first plays a card from their hand, then a card from those visible in front of them. Concretely, four cards are placed for each trick: two from hands and two from the cards exposed on the table. This feature offers a partial read of the opponent’s game, forcing careful planning of sequences while keeping an eye on counterplay opportunities. The trick is won by the highest-numbered card that matches the color of the first card played.

A round consists of ten tricks. At its end, points are scored based on the cards captured in the winning tricks. The first player to obtain two pink tokens wins the game! Tango thus achieves a subtle blend of party games and strategy board games, ideal for those looking for dynamic, quick two-player board games.
