Crab vs Octopus is a nerve-wracking discard game for 2 players. The game unfolds over successive rounds. At the start of each round, complete your hand up to 5 cards, then take turns playing. The powers of the cards and the escalation of values bring constant tension, ideal for fans of two-player board games who appreciate tactical choices and twists of fate.

Rules and mechanics: bidding, powers and sense of timing

The first player starts the round by playing a card and immediately applying any effects it may have. On their turn, the opponent must play a card with a value strictly higher than the previous one. If a player can no longer, or does not wish to, play, the round ends.

The last person to have played a card wins the round and becomes the first player of the next round, a decisive advantage in this type of strategy board game. The game ends when a player plays, discards or has their last card stolen (empty hand and draw pile); they immediately win the game.

Two modes are included to refresh the experience and refine your tactics: a symmetric mode and an asymmetric mode, perfect for varying the pleasures and exploring different approaches in this two-player board game.
