Legions Imperialis: Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports

Mastodon Legions Imperialis - Super-heavy assault transport for Space Marines tabletop games

Designed to break the most well-defended lines, the Mastodon is among the most massive assault transports of the Legiones Astartes. Far larger than a Land Raider, it crosses the deadliest battlefields while carrying up to 40 Space Marines. Its mission: punch through enemy defences and deposit elite units directly into the heart of combat, after opening huge breaches with its powerful fuser banks mounted on the armoured prow. Few fortifications can withstand this arsenal: steel and stone melt, and the Legionaries rush through the gap for the final assault.

Kit contents, weapon options and wargaming accessories

This plastic kit allows you to assemble 2 Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports for your Legiones Astartes armies in Legions Imperialis, ideal for wargaming and miniature gaming. Protected by Void shields, these behemoths absorb considerable firepower while delivering their deadly cargo and projecting infantry into close combat. The siege fuser banks demolish bunkers and bastions with fearsome efficiency, while also threatening Knights and Titans. A massive Skyreaper battery provides anti-air defence, while side heavy flamers clear enemy infantry at close range.

The kit offers modular options: choice of sponsons with laser cannon or heavy bolters, and two top hatches, one of which can be mounted open with a tank commander observing the battlefield. The set includes 83 plastic components, as well as 1 decal sheet of Legion vehicle markings offering 1,130 high-quality transfers to customise your miniatures. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly; we recommend Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints for an optimal finish.

Perfect for collectors of Space Marine miniatures and wargaming enthusiasts, this set integrates seamlessly into your armies at epic scale. For Warhammer miniature painting, consider completing your hobby supplies with Citadel paints, Citadel brushes, Vallejo paints, The Army Painter, Green Stuff World and Gamers Grass tufts. Whether you play Warhammer 40k (Warhammer 40,000 miniatures, Warhammer 40k Space Marine), Warhammer Age of Sigmar miniatures or Warhammer The Old World, this Mastodon will add a spectacular dimension to your battles and display.
