Cthulhu Tenebris - Des Profondeurs

Des Profondeurs, a campaign for the Cthulhu Tenebris role-playing game

Garin, lord of Arvernia and Velay, Charlemagne's last brave, is dead. While the archbishop ponders the circumstances of this strange death, the two counties fall to Robert, a nobleman eager for conquest. These events are the prelude to a very dark future. Who has been torturing peasants on the Gévaudan border? What happens to the men and women who disappear in the towns and countryside? What secrets lie hidden in the remains of the Ligurians, Celts and Romans who fought and died in these lands? What is the truth behind the legend of Saint George, who is said to have fought the dragon here?

Des Profondeurs plunges adventurers into the intrigues of 9th-century Velay. The plots of mere mortals, the scheming of the Great Old Ones' henchmen and the existence of things lurking in the shadows weave a terrible web that they'll have to decipher to prevent the worst horror from happening. Supported by over forty game aids, plans, maps and portraits, Des Profondeurs transposes the tradition of the great adventures of the Cthulhu mythos... to the Middle Ages!
