Combat Patrol: Tyranid Assault Brood

Tyranids come in a bewildering variety of forms, each more terrible than the last. Small disruptive forces have been observed, led by one of Mortrex's famous Parasites. They're protected by Tyranid guards armed with hard plates, and supported by the living artillery of Biovores, bell-shaped spores of organic mines projecting across the battlefield. Perhaps the most dangerous elements are the Genestealers, aggressive yet discreet, rushing in to slash and tear with their long, razor-sharp claws.

If you're planning to devour all the biomass in the galaxy, this box is the perfect way to start a Tyranid collection - or expand your existing army - saving on the separate purchase price of these kits. At the head of this force is a nightmarish Mortrex Parasite, infecting its prey with its sharp ovipositor. The three Tyranid Guards can go toe-to-toe with even the toughest foes, while the Genestealers cavort to finish off any survivors. Finally, a Biovore provides long-range support. These 18 plastic miniatures make up a complete Tyranid Assault Brood for use in Warhammer 40,000's tight, tactical Patrol format. The rules for this Patrol are available as a free download from the Warhammer Community website.

This set assembles 18 plastic Tyranid miniatures:

- 1x Mortrex Parasite

- 3x Tyranid Guards (can also be assembled as Hive Guards)

- 1x Biovore (can otherwise be assembled as a Pyrovore)

- 3x Mining Spores

- 10x Genestealers

The miniatures in this box are easy to customize. Genestealers each have a choice of head options, and the Biovore can instead be assembled as a flame-breathing Pyrovore.

Tyranid Guards can be armed with crushing pincers, sharp claws or a bone grinder and bioknout. Heads, bodies, tails, legs, arms and weapons are interchangeable between all figures, allowing you to unleash your deep Hive Mind when assembling them. Alternatively, they can be assembled as Hive Guards, armed with your choice of impaler or shock cannon.

This kit includes 260 plastic parts, 1x 80mm Citadel Round Base, 1x 40mm Citadel Round Base, 3x 25mm Citadel Round Base, 3x 50mm Citadel Round Base and 10x 32mm Citadel Round Base.

These figures are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paint.
