In times of great need, the simple peasants, farm workers and common folk of Grand Cathay take up arms to defend their homes. Although they are not as well equipped or trained as the Jade Warriors, they form a fierce and not insignificant fighting force. Using black-powder muskets and long spears, they present a resolute defense to some of the most horrific foes that mere mortals can face.

This well-packed box is ideal for starting a new collection of the Grand Cathay Armies, or for expanding an existing army to unleash against the opponent in Warhammer: The Old World. These reinforcements feature eminent magical support, led as they are by two Astromancers, one on foot and the other mounted. The majority of this force consists of a Peasant Levy, capable of bending under the sheer number of even stubborn adversaries. Iron-Hail Cannons and Crane Cannon add to this a considerable firepower, capable of maiming any enemy at range. It is in this box that you will have your first opportunity to get your hands on all of these new miniatures.

This box lets you assemble 53 plastic miniatures for the Grand Cathay Armies:

– 1x Astromancer mounted on a Cathayan Destrier

– 12x Iron-Hail Fusiliers

– 30x Peasant Levy

The miniatures in this box offer a certain degree of customization. Each Astromancer has a choice of two heads and two weapons for their right hand.

Each soldier of the Peasant Levy can be armed with a war bow or a long spear. You have the parts needed to assemble up to three optional champions (each with a choice of two heads), three optional musicians and three optional standard-bearers. The 72 heads offered to you include a mix of bare heads and headgear. The heads, headgear, quivers and weapons are all interchangeable among all bodies.

This kit is comprised of 696 plastic parts, 1x Citadel 60x30mm rectangular base, 8x Citadel 50x25mm rectangular bases and 44x Citadel 25mm square bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
