Death Rider (Hardback)

Warhammer 40 000 novel: Death Korps of Krieg on the doomed world of Rezlan VI

Rezlan VI is dying. Doomed by an Imperial battleship to a lingering end, the planet traps the Imperium of Man and the t'au in a punishing stalemate. Commissar Valian Hesh of the Death Korps of Krieg receives an impossible order: prevent the 472nd Siege Regiment from hurling itself into a last, glorious, and utterly futile assault. As toxic squalls scour the surface and firestorms devour the horizons, Hesh—accompanied only by Jens, his enigmatic prefectus militant—must wield rank, reason, and iron will against soldiers bred to embrace oblivion. Can he restrain the 472nd before the warhammer 40.000 tau tighten their grip and Rezlan VI becomes a mass grave, or will he be swallowed by the same grim fatalism he seeks to break?
