Warhammer 40 000 Novel: Death Korps of Krieg vs the T'au on Rezlan VI

On the devastated world of Rezlan VI, Commissar Valian Hesh of the Death Korps of Krieg faces an impossible command. An Imperial battleship has condemned the planet to a slow, agonizing death, leaving the Imperium of Man and the t'au locked in a ruthless stalemate. As firestorms rage and toxins choke the skies, Hesh has one chance to save what remains of his regiment—by stopping the 472nd Siege Regiment of Krieg from hurling itself into a final, suicidal assault. With only Jens, his cryptic prefectus militant, at his side, the commissar must pit resolve and persuasion against a corps bred to embrace oblivion. Can Hesh bring the 472nd to heel before the t'au tighten their grip and the world itself becomes their tomb—or will he be consumed by the same grim fatalism he seeks to break?
