Napoleon Saga: Waterloo is a tactical card game that recreates the major clashes of the 1815 Belgian campaign between the French army and the Seventh Coalition. Ideal for a historical wargame experience accessible to two players, it lets you discover the system, relive historical scenarios (Quatre Bras, Ligny, Waterloo, Wavre) or design your own battle. Between tactics, reactivity and bluff, each game offers an intense immersion at the twilight of the First Empire.

Thanks to a clean setup and a strong strategic dimension, this board game offers high replayability and tense duels where the slightest decision can reverse the course of the battle.

Napoleonic card wargame: mechanisms, tactics and immersion

Each general has two distinct decks and a board representing their side of the battlefield: a Army Deck and a Strategy Deck.

From the Army Deck, you deploy your Unit Cards on the field: Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery. These indicate the values of Fire, Melee, Cohesion and Morale, and may benefit from special abilities and keywords to diversify your maneuvers.

The Strategy Deck contains a variety of action cards: Events, Combat Formations, Bonuses or Ambushes to hinder the opponent. Each card can be used for its effect or for its Initiative value, making every choice decisive.

In turn, you activate three Units to fire, engage in melee or move. Casualties lead to retreats and destructions, granting victory points to the opponent. Secret objectives, defined at the start of the game, grant additional points if you achieve them.

As a true general, decide on a front attack, an artillery bombardment or a flanking maneuver. Monitor the opponent's maneuvers and the morale of your troops: the fate of Napoleonic Europe depends on your choices.
